Summer is almost over which means summer anime is almost over T_T Really been enjoying Free! Eternal Summer so I had to do some fanart of the two teams <3 I wanted to do something different with the shadow this time around so I used the half-tone to sort of mimic what Kyo-Ani did in the original promo. I still really love that promo, the bright colors and the water splashes were inspired from it as well!
These prints will be for sale at Yaoi Con this year! If you’re going, please stop by my table in artist alley! :D

This is Berk

“This is Berk. It snows nine months of the year, and hails the other three. Any food that grows here is tough and tasteless. The people that grow here are even more so. The only upsides are the pets. While other places have ponies or parrots… we have… dragons.” -Hiccup
Happy Memorial Day! This is my piece for the ‘How to Train Your Dragon 2’ art show at Gallery Nucleus :)
Done in watercolor and inked with a combination of tech pens and gold oil based sharpie.

5 Second Day

I’m not really an animator. Not at all in fact. I’m not particularly good at it nor do I have the dedication to do try to do it well. I’m much better at storyboarding Having said that though, it’s really fun to try something you’re not good at with a friend and finishing something that’s sort of ridiculous and sort of awesome.
Being a part of Titmouse during 5 Second Day this year gave us that opportunity! For those who don’t know what 5 Second Day is, it’s a day where Titmouse employees get a day to create their own short cartoons that have to be at least five seconds long. Also, this year they are screening the films made during 5 Second Day at the Egyptian Theater! Tickets can be bought here.
Katamaru and I teamed up and created a short film about a kitten called ‘Poot!’ Hopefully it’ll be posted soon and I can link it back here! For now, if you’re in the area, please come see us and all the films made during 5 Second Day! :D

Journey's End

This is my piece for Meltdown's Doctor Who Tribute Art Show: The Doctor is In! The 10th Doctor episode is one of my favorites, I loved all the gathering of the companions, I loved their strength and how they band together even though they are strangers, I loved DONNA in this since she shows how brilliant she is!

The piece pulls inspiration from that episode, and Donkey Kong. XD I thought it'd be fun to show the events that happen in that episode in this way since the Dalek ship, the Crucible, seem to have multiple floors for different functions, with Davros in the dungeon and stuff. I wanted to put in an extra floor to show the Dalek King but I thought it was more important to focus on the Doctor and his companions.
